Welcome to Timber Ridge! As a new homeowner in our community, you may have questions about the community and the area. Here are some pointers to help you get started. To find basic information, refer to other areas of this website. Our documents are all available on line.

The elementary school which serves our neighborhood is Silverbrook Elementary School.

The middle school and high school for our community are both housed in the South County Secondary School.

Timber Ridge Board of Directors

The Timber Ridge Board of Directors (BOD) is a group of three elected volunteers from our community. Each Board member serves a three year term. The election of officers is limited to one member per year. Thus, each year the BOD has one newly elected member and at least two experienced members serving. Elections are held each year during our Fall annual meeting. The BOD is always looking for new community volunteers. Please contact us if you would be willing to serve your community in any capacity.

Annual Assessments

The Timber Ridge Homeowners' Association budget is set every Fall. It is presented in draft form at our annual meeting for community discussion. Beginning in 2006, assessments will be mailed out twice a year, in January and July. The first half-payment ($216) for 2006 is payable by January 31st. The second billing will be mailed out by July 1st and will be due by the end of that month. Pipestem escrows will be collected only once a year, with the July payments. Jeffrey Charles and Associates has recently begun to serve Timber Ridge as our management company. Kelly Ault, their representative serving our community, can be reached at (703) 924-5900. Kelly can answer questions about our community and refer questions, if needed, to the Board of Directors. Trash pick-up

Timber Ridge has contracted trash service with AAA Recycling and Trash Removal Services. General waste pickups are on Mondays and Thursdays. Recycling pick-ups are on Mondays. Yard waste pickups are on Wednesdays. If you have further questions about trash service, please call AAA at (703) 818-8222 between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Getting to know Timber Ridge

Timber Ridge is a community of one hundred sixty- three (163) single family homes located just west of Hooes Road and north of Silverbrook Road. The school districts for our community are the Silverbrook Elementary School and South County Secondary School . Our community is just minutes away from several major thoroughfares: I-95, Route 123, and the Fairfax County Parkway. Both Lake Mercer and the Fairfax County Trails System are just walking distance from the homes in Timber Ridge. Shopping and recreation fields are just minutes from our community. In short, we seem to have it all here.

The Timber Ridge Homeowners' Association Architectural Review Committee (ARC) consists of several neighborhood residents. These volunteers donate their personal time while assisting both the Board of Directors and our management company to insure that our communtity guidelines are followed. Should you have a question or comment to refer to the ARC, please contact the committe chair, Scott Toler at scotttoler@aol.com.

Approved ARC applications must be filed with the committee before any permanent exterior modification work is begun on any lot. Please reference our Standards and Guidelines if you require further information regarding acceptable structures and /or futher information regarding neighborhood restrictions . These documents can be reviewed on this web site under "documents".

The Timber Ridge Homeowners' Association Board of Directors (BOD) consists of three voting members: the President, the Vice-president and the Secretary. The Treasurer and various committee members are valued community volunteers, but they, as designated by our founding documents, are not voting members of the BOD. Each voting member serves a three-year term. Terms are staggered so that only one member is elected each year at the annual meeting. The volunteers serving for 2006 are listed below.
